Honoring the Class of 2025: VAVA Graduation Goes Live!

The tassels have turned, and the Virginia Virtual Academy Class of 2025 has officially graduated! 

This year’s commencement wasn’t just a ceremony — it was a true celebration of strength, perseverance, and community. Families, friends, teachers, and staff came together, both in person and online, to honor our incredible VAVA students who crossed the finish line with determination, resilience, and purpose. For many, it was the first time meeting classmates and teachers face-to-face, and every handshake, hug, and smile made the day unforgettable. 

There were cheers. There were heartfelt tears. There were standing ovations — and yes, some show-stopping cap designs that could’ve won awards! But most of all, there was a deep sense of connection, pride, and shared achievement in every corner of the room. 

From students who balanced school with full-time jobs or caregiving, to those who found their voice and passions in the digital classroom, every VAVA graduate has a story worth celebrating. Watching those stories come to life reminded us all why virtual education matters and how it empowers students to shape their own path forward. 

Congratulations to the Class of 2025! You’ve shown that flexibility fuels success and that life’s biggest milestones shine even brighter when we celebrate them together. We are so proud of you, and we can’t wait to see all the amazing places you’ll go next.
